POSITION: Residential Administrator.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director.
FLSA: Salary $70,000 annually.
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full time 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
SUMMARY:
A newly established Assisted Living Facility and Housing Community is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Administrator to join our team at Loveland Living. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing top quality housing opportunities, care to seniors and individuals with I/DD and a commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive living community. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet specific education and experience requirements including direct experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities. You must meet a minimum or of the following requirements. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in education, rehabilitative science, business or related degree.
- An associates degree or two years of college or university and have 2 years of documented direct experience with recipients with Developmental Disabilities.
- One year of college from an accredited college or university and 3 years of documented direct experience with recipients with Developmental Disabilities.
- Four years of documented direct experience working with recipients with Developmental Disabilities. May substitute one year of college for every year of documented experience working with recipients with Developmental disabilities.
- Must complete the ALF core training and pass the Florida State ALF core certification exam within 90 days of hire. Must complete the SLC pre-service training and the Introduction to Social Security Work Incentives training. Must complete all regulatory training through APD. The candidate must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fully adhere to Loveland Living’s Code of Ethics and Core Values.
- Maintain professional standards of the highest quality with regards to the health and safety of our residents.
- Oversee daily operation of the ALf and housing program. Ensure high standards of care and services for all residents, fiscal responsibility and ensure quality staffing.
- Manage and train staff members to ensure they are providing excellent care and support for all residents.
- Communicate regularly with residents and families to address any concerns and ensure their satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all residents, including medical, financial, consents and personal information.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Advocate for our residents' needs, help them navigate challenges, and ensure their voices are heard.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Work directly with residents, tailoring support to their specific needs and goals, as outlined in their individual support plans.
- Work closely with residents, their families and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support.
- Available to provide 24/7 emergency support to the residents.
- Attend in-service programs and staff meetings as required for effective planning and programming.
- Participate in training to ensure state mandated trainings and annual training and continuing education requirements are met.
- Perform all other duties not specifically identified, as assigned by the Executive Director.
RESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATOR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Experience in a management role within a healthcare or residential program. Strong understanding of ALF and APD regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial management and fiscal responsibility. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Experience with plan writing, care planning and healthcare coordination. Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that would normally be met by a Residential Administrator. While performing the duties of this job a Residential Administrator is regularly required to talk, hear and see; frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands. The Residential Administrator is occasionally required to reach up with hands and arms; as well as stoop, kneel or crouch. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that a Residential Administrator would encounter while performing the essential functions of their jobs.
